Backup server data at the block level bypassing the file system and reading data directly from the disk or volume. Block-level backup provides advantages over traditional file backup technologies including the speed of completing a backup operation, a drastic reduction in disk and network I/O, the ability to perform backups as often as every 15 minutes and no performance penalty for servers having a large number of files.
This feature provides hosting providers with a simple means of replicating backup data across Server Backup Manager (SBM) servers regardless of their geographic location. Replicated site data along with the SBM System Backup can be used to restore an entire SBM server, including its archived data, server configuration, and multi-tenant accounts. Just think of it as disaster recovery for your backup system.

AES-256 Disk Safe Encryption can be enabled at the time of creation of Disk Safes for backup data. This aids in the protection of data stored in the backup server, and in protection of the data over the network.
Server Backup Manager meets the needs of both Enterprise and Provider environments. It can be set up to allow access only to administrators, group-based administrators, multi-tenant, tiered multi-tenant or a custom configuration. Administrator configuration settings are targeted at typical Enterprise environments where backup and restore activities are handled by one or more IT administrators. The multi-tenant setting is ideal for most Hosting environments where each client company can be given control only over their own users and servers.
