Can I have a special MX record so a different mailserver will handle all mail for my domain?

Yes. If you want your mail to be handled by any 3rd party, just tell us the hostname and IP address of the server that will handle your mail. We will list it as your “MX” (mail exchange) record in your DNS (domain name service) zonefile that we maintain for your domain.

So instead of this MX record which would cause mail for your domain to be handled by our mailservers we can change it to cause all mail for anything @yourdomain to be routed to the 3rd party’s mailserver:

IN MX 10 sitemail.everyone.net.
or
IN MX 10 mailrecv.bigmailbox.com.

This only works when our nameservers are listed on your domain name registration.

If our nameservers are not listed on your domain registration, then you will have to ask your DNS administrator to make any of these settings for you.
